Dear President de Hoyos:
I found your name in the U.S. News and World Report publication Secrets of the Lost Symbol.  For several years now I have had something I have thought would be of interest to Freemasonry but had no idea where to pass it on to.  I understand that my great grandfather (or his father, I’m not sure) was a Mason, but if so he was York Rite.  His obelisk is in a cemetery in Philadelphia.  “Linton” is an old Yorkshire name, which I imagine is just a coincidence.  Anyway that connection is, shall we say, a little too old for me to trace down a contact.

You pointed out in the interview that the secrets of Freemasonry are not so important as the trust that the existence of secrets implies.  I feel rather good about that attitude.  I am not much for keeping secrets.  Otherwise I would hardly be sending you this letter.  Rest assured this is not a privileged communication, and you are free to make use of it in any way you like.

The fact is that fertility depends on kinship.  The more kin a couple the more grandchildren they will have and probably the more children.  The effect accumulates over multiple generations.  I am sure you doubt this.  We are all told that the bigger, more diverse and better mixed a gene pool the healthier it is and the greater the fertility that can be expected.

But that is simply not true.  I have enormous amounts of evidence to support what I say.  I have evidence posted at nobabies.net along with letters like this to people I think might profit from knowing and my thoughts on the matter.  Recently it seems that somebody went over the sight and looked at hundreds of things I had posted.  That was a monumental effort.  The quickest way to get a feel for it is to go to nobabies.net and look at what I put up on March 25, 2010.  It is a poster I presented at a genetics convention in Albuquerque last month.   I talked to about two dozen experts and not one had anything substantial to say in contradiction.  I was challenged on some details, but not on the general picture.

Think about what that could mean.  The group that understood it would have a virtual monopoly on having babies.  That would mean more than any amount of wealth or prestige.  If you don’t think having babies is a critical issue, look at this.  Wikipedia says you were born in Mexico.  Here is the Mexican birth rate for the last few years.

It’s enough to make you queasy.  I expect the curve will tilt downward more steeply as the population ages, but it looks like there is time to change.

It is not possible that there is a conspiracy out there trying to exploit this.  They would have noticed me and asked what else I could tell them.  But sadly the misinformation that is out there is accomplishing the same thing as if someone were trying to clear the planet.

I just thought you might be interested.

Sincerely,

M. Linton Herbert MD
